Meet Katrina

Since 1986, Katrina Lyons has been helping families and business owners grow, protect and transfer their wealth all while minimizing CRA’s reach and facilitating faster and smoother estate settlements through bypassing the probate process when possible.

As a Certified Financial Planner, Katrina acts as a fiduciary, placing her client’s interests above all else and adhering to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism. As an independent business owner, she has no allegiance to any insurance or investment company. The combination of Katrina’s Chartered Life Underwriter designation and experience as a registered tax filer with Canada Revenue Agency has equipped her with in-depth knowledge with respect to taxation and legalities pertinent to estate planning for families, as well as businesses.

Katrina believes in taking the time to really listen and hear the desires and concerns of her clients before putting together an action plan of recommendations focused on solutions, rather than products. She believes in educating and empowering her clients to make the decisions that are right for them. Every family situation is unique and should be treated as such.

While acquiring new business and clients is greatly appreciated, Katrina’s involvement in our Collective is driven more by the need to help us empower people to make informed decisions right for them and their families.

Should there be an opportunity for you to do business with her, she will be compensated through a commission directly through the insurer or investment company that you may choose. The compliment Katrina has heard most over her 38 years from clients that makes her stand out in a sea of advisors and planners is that they feel and know she truly cares about them and finding the solutions that suit their needs best. Should you already be working with an advisor you trust, then she will encourage you to share your findings from our sessions with them as appropriate.

Katrina has two adult children and lives in Ancaster with her son. She is a certified homebody who loves to sing and keep fit when not pursuing her favourite passion of exploring the world through travel.
